Authentic! Knoll Saarinen 36" Round Marble Dining Table
This table is in generally good condition. It features a "Polished Coated Marble" surface, where the protective coating preserves the marble beneath. There is a small peel, the underlying marble remains unaffected. The peeling has stabilized and will not expand further. There is a small chip on one edge, but it is very minor. The Saarinen Dining Table, as he explained in a 1956 Time magazine cover story, was designed to “clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home.” Later that year, he completed the Pedestal Table, which stands on a gracefully shaped cast-aluminum base. This is the authentic Pedestal Table by Knoll. It’s stamped with the KnollStudio logo and Eero Saarinen’s signature.
