The George daybed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia is a rare and highly refined minimalist design from the early 2000s, defined by its low, architectural profile and exceptional construction. The piece features a steel internal structure supporting a sprung, mattress-like cushion, resting on a base of extruded aluminum tubing with die-cast aluminum legs and corner joints. Newly upholstered in HBF Quil performance bouclé, the fabric has a soft, large-loop texture reminiscent of shearling while remaining durable and easy to maintain. The upholstery has been precisely recreated using the original cover as a template and is finished with the original Velcro attachment system for easy removal and cleaning.
