Multipla Lounge Chairs by Jane Dillon & Peter Wheeler, 1990s (Two Available)
Sculptural Multipla lounge chairs designed in the early 1990s by Jane Dillon and Peter Wheeler. Dillon, who trained under Ettore Sottsass in Italy before working with Habitat and Conran, is a designer whose contributions are only now being fully appreciated. The Multipla is part of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s permanent collection in London and was originally produced for Kron Designs.
With their anthropomorphic curves and bold profile, these chairs blur the line between seating and sculpture. The newly refreshed upholstery in Schumacher’s Madrid Faux Mohair (blush-caramel) brings both richness and durability, a fabric developed for high-use hospitality interiors while retaining a soft, refined finish. Two matching available. Price is per.
